Notions can be either ideas or sewing supplies - the author counts seamstress-ing as a hobby.

Inklings are also ideas, though vaguer then notions - hints of ideas.

The Inklings were an informal literary discussion group associated with C. S. Lewis at the University of Oxford for nearly two decades between the early 1930s and late 1949. The Inklings were literary enthusiasts who praised the value of narrative in fiction and encouraged the writing of fantasy.

As C. S. Lewis is a favorite author of this author Notions and Inklings seemed an acceptable name for a website of her musings.

The author comes from a tight knit, loving family with issues. A family that is strewn across the entire United states, but holds each other solidly in their hearts.

She started this site for reasons more poorly defined than inklings!

If it in any way inspires you - bonus!
